Mercedes Moné will be able to continue extending one of the most remarkable records in professional wrestling in recent decades. House of Wrestling (HOG) has just announced that "The CEO" will compete for the APAC Wrestling Women's Championship at the SUPERCLASH event for which she had already been previously announced.
Mercedes will face Nor "Phoenix" Diana, the current titleholder. Originally from Malaysia, Phoenix is the world's first professional female wrestler to compete wearing a hijab. The match will take place on Saturday, November 15th at the Suffolk Credit Union Arena in Brentwood, New York, and it will also be Phoenix's first time competing on American soil.
The APAC Women's Championship was created in 2022, and has a total legacy of 3 reigns, two of them held by Phoenix herself. Her second -and current- reign has already accumulated 753 days. If Moné not only would secure her thirteenth championship, but also end the longest reign in the brief history of this title, as she previously did in the BODYSLAM promotion, where she ended her champion Aliss Ink's 1,140-day reign.
Moné is undoubtedly one of the women of the moment in the professional wrestling business. "The CEO" has achieved an impressive twelve championships worldwide, surpassing the record of Último Dragon, who held ten belts simultaneously.
However, it should be noted that not all titles are defended. The Queen of Southside Title that Moné won from Mina Shirakawa was deactivated when it merged with RevPro's Undisputed British Championship. Additionally, the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Championship is a trophy that does not count as an active title.
Below is the list of the twelve championships that "The CEO" currently holds.
