The situation of Brock Lesnar continues to generate doubts within WWE after his defeat against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. Although he left his gloves and boots in the ring and had an emotional embrace with Paul Heyman, Dave Meltzer indicated that some people in the company believe that he has not definitively retired yet.

According to what was discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio, the idea is that his retirement will probably happen at some point this year, but it is not clear if it has already occurred. Meltzer emphasized that nobody knows for sure and the situation could be being kept secret, just like with other recent WWE storylines.

The report also recalls that, at one point, the internal plans were to continue exploiting the rivalry between Lesnar and Oba Femi instead of treating their match as a standalone event. Later, that direction changed and WWE chose to close the story in Goldberg style, leading Femi to a complete victory over Lesnar.

Paul Heyman's reaction and Lesnar's gesture after the match further fueled speculation. Even the tribute video aired on Raw felt, to some, rushed, which reinforced the idea that the departure of the former champion may have caught part of the team by surprise.

For now, the big question is whether Lesnar's farewell already happened at WrestleMania 42 or if WWE still has one last chapter saved for SummerSlam in Minnesota. The only thing certain is that his status within the company remains one of the most delicate stories of the moment.
