Ilja Dragunov will compete in his second All Elite Wrestling match this Saturday when he faces The Beast Mortos on a special edition of AEW Collision: Fright Night. The company has confirmed the first matches for the show, which will also feature Tommaso Ciampa and a match for the Artist of Stardom Championship.
The show will be taped this Wednesday in St. Louis, Missouri, after AEW Dynamite, and will air on Saturday, October 31. More matches could be added to the card before the broadcast.
After making his debut with a victory over Mike Bailey on the October 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, Ilja Dragunov will look to continue his winning momentum against The Beast Mortos. It will be the first singles match between the two wrestlers.
The former NXT Champion was also involved in a notable moment during the latest edition of Dynamite, when he confronted Tommaso Ciampa, another wrestler he crossed paths with during his time in WWE.
Dragunov hinted at his interest in facing Ciampa, who is currently focused on earning another opportunity at the AEW National Championship, held by Andrade El Ídolo.
Meanwhile, Tommaso Ciampa will face Matt Sydal, a St. Louis native who will compete in front of his hometown crowd. Like Dragunov and Mortos, Ciampa and Sydal will also meet in singles competition for the first time.
Another confirmed match will see The Conglomeration take on The Cut, a new group consisting of Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn and Juice Robinson. The previous week, the members of The Cut betrayed and attacked The Conglomeration, beginning a new rivalry between the two groups. Now, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly will have the opportunity to respond to that attack in a six-man tag team match.
The special edition will also include a defense of the Artist of Stardom Championship, with Triangle of Madness, consisting of Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, facing Hazuki, Koguma and Fuwa-chan.
AEW Collision: Fright Night will air this Saturday, October 31, with Ilja Dragunov as one of the show's main attractions. The company could announce additional matches to complete the card for the Halloween special.
