Adriana Rizzo, one of WWE NXT’s superstars and member of Tony D’Angelo’s faction, has confirmed through her social media that she has suffered a serious knee injury. The wrestler revealed that it is a torn ACL and meniscus, which will keep her out of the ring for a considerable amount of time.
In her post, Adriana shared a photo of her knee in a brace along with an optimistic message. “Here we go again… torn ACL + meniscus. It’s a setback, not the end. As some of you know, I’ve had a streak of bad luck with injuries. I’m ready to tackle this and come back 100% healthy for the first time in my WWE career,” she wrote.
The news of her injury comes at a time when Adriana Rizzo, despite not having wrestled since April, remained active on NXT television as part of the D’Angelo Family faction. In fact, her most recent appearance on the show was this week, where she played a key role in helping Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo secure the win by distracting the referee during his match.
This new setback adds to a series of injuries for Adriana, who, since arriving at the Performance Center in 2022, has had bad luck with her health. In 2023, she suffered a torn Achilles tendon, and in 2024, a partial ACL tear. Before her wrestling career, Rizzo was a standout track and field athlete at the University of North Carolina.
