Penta and Xavier Woods to settle their dispute over an expensive hat on Raw

An unusual disagreement over a $12,000 hat will be the trigger for the upcoming match between Penta and Xavier Woods on Monday Night Raw. The bout will take place on Monday, August 18, and was made official this week by General Manager Adam Pearce.

The story began on the August 4 episode of Raw, when Penta faced Grayson Waller with Kofi Kingston and Woods watching from ringside. During the post-match scuffle, Woods lost his massive hat, which Penta didn’t hesitate to put on while doing his signature Smooth Operator taunt, provoking the indignation of the New Day member.

In this week’s episode, Woods stated that the accessory was worth $12,000 and accused Penta of mocking him. Pearce quickly stepped in, confirming that the two will face off in a singles match next Monday.
