The recent departure of Karrion Kross and Scarlett from WWE has become one of the topics of conversation this week. Many were expecting both to continue in the company considering the great popular support Kross had in recent months. However, a lack of understanding and transparency ended any possibility of negotiation, and both contracts expired last weekend.
This afternoon, Kross granted an interview to Ariel Helwani, where he provided more information on the matter, explaining that WWE did not make an effort to create a new agreement in line with what the wrestler deserved, nor could he speak directly about the issue with Triple H. But that's not all, as no agreement was offered to his wife either, when they have always signed together with the company.
"No offer was made to her. At one point they told me, because I asked, 'After we deal with you, we will deal with her'. I don't see why we couldn't do things as we did before, where we closed deals together," Kross said about it.
As a free agent, many expect the wrestler to end up in the ranks of All Elite Wrestling. However, Karrion pointed out that Tony Khan's company has not contacted him, although he is not surprised. "No. Many people think it's part of a storyline", Kross indicated.
Helwani explained the theory that many fans hold: that Kross could return to TNA Wrestling and that it would all be part of a story due to the relationship between Anthem Media's company and WWE.
"Yes, that's what everyone is thinking. I've read it and seen it. Everyone thinks I'm just going to show up in another company under the WWE umbrella. They're waiting for me to do it because all of this seems absurd to them. People have followed the events to get to this point and wonder: 'How did this happen? This can't be real because it doesn't make sense'. Believe me, I also think it doesn't make sense. It baffles me too. It drives me crazy to admit it. It's baffling," Kross said.
"I have spoken with many people in different sectors about doing many different things. My wife and I have some plans that we are organizing, we just haven't announced dates yet. None of what we have accepted so far would necessarily interfere with a possible return home, to WWE. I'm not trying to turn this into a game, although I know that can be advantageous for many people. I don't like to proceed that way. I would resent myself if I acted like that, even if it were economically beneficial. I don't want to do that. I'm still sitting at the table waiting to finish talking about things we never had the chance to discuss. I think there is still a lot to talk about," Karrion explained.
"It's about trying to resolve the situation with WWE. I'm not looking for calls from big televised wrestling companies. Several have already contacted me, but that's not what I'm looking for. I would like to continue exploring the conversation with WWE," he added.
