During the most recent edition of AEW Dynamite, important announcements were made for Forbidden Door, confirming multiple matches, including a brutal Lights Out Steel Cage Match between the team led by Jon Moxley and the team of Will Ospreay, who made his return tonight.
Jon Moxley faced Kevin Knight in a singles match, whom he defeated despite his opponent's best moves. However, the action didn't end there. After the match, the Death Riders surrounded and attacked Kevin and his partner Speedball Mike Bailey, until Darby Allin appeared to temporarily drive away Moxley's faction.
In the ensuing chaos, Wheeler Yuta couldn't escape in time and was attacked by Darby until Claudio Castagnoli came out to help him. It was at that moment that Will Ospreay made a surprise return, clearing the ring of the Death Riders. The Brit wasted no time and issued a direct challenge to Moxley. Ospreay explained that he hadn't forgotten the injury he and his team caused in the past.
As revenge, he challenged Moxley and company to a Lights Out Steel Cage Match at Forbidden Door. Later, Will confirmed that two of his teammates for the match would be Darby Allin and NJPW's Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi.
