John Cena, dressed as The Peacemaker, made his appearance last night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he promoted the premiere of the new season of the series and talked about his last days in WWE, which have been particularly controversial due to some statements made by him and Triple H. During the interview, the veteran wrestler stated that he has always followed what the company asks of him and that his goal on this farewell tour is to leave the company in a better state than when he arrived.

"No, no. I have never worked that way," Cena replied when Fallon asked him if he had the authority to choose his last opponent. "I have always been reliable, showing up and doing what I'm asked. I want this tour to be special, not just for me, but for the business. My goal has always been to leave WWE better than I found it," Cena commented. You can watch part of Cena's intervention below.

The 16-time world champion revealed that he has 11 dates left before hanging up his boots, with his final match presumably for an episode yet to be announced of Saturday Night's Main Event in Boston, this December. Although he admitted he would like more time, he acknowledged that his body has signaled that it's time to retire and that he doesn't want to take opportunities away from the new generation of talents.

Before his farewell, Cena will experience special moments such as his participation in SmackDown in Lyon on August 29 and his match against Logan Paul at Clash in Paris two days later. Additionally, he is expected to headline a PLE in Indianapolis on September 20 alongside Brock Lesnar, who recently returned to WWE to attack him at SummerSlam.

Cena also talked about his recent shows and revealed that the WWE locker room describes Lyon as "the best crowd in the history" of the company. The former world champion is eager to be part of the Paris lineup, to see how loud the French fans can be.

The highly anticipated premiere of The Peacemaker

Season 2 of Peacemaker will arrive on Max in the United States on August 21, 2025, remaining one of the most anticipated offerings in the DC catalog. A day later, on August 22, it will debut internationally through Sky Max and NOW. This new batch of four episodes will not only continue the adventures of Christopher Smith but will also directly link to the events shown in the recent movie Superman, reinforcing the character's connection to the new DCU.
