NJPW G1 Climax results - August 14, 2025

New Japan Pro-Wrestling experienced a key day this morning at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo with the last round of qualifiers towards the semifinals of the G1 Climax 35. In front of 1,518 fans who filled the venue, the most prestigious summer wrestling tournament in the world defined its four semifinalists, with performances that kept the tension until the last second.

In addition to a card full of tag team matches, the evening was marked by the victories of Yota Tsuji and Konosuke Takeshita in their respective matches to access the semifinals. With these results, they join block winners EVIL and Zack Sabre Jr., setting up a weekend at the Ariake Arena that will lead to Wrestle Kingdom.

• Taichi and Satoshi Kojima defeated YOSHI-HASHI and Shoma Kato
• SANADA, Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru defeated Oleg Boltin, Toru Yano, El Phantasmo, and Jado
• The Great-O-Khan, Callum Newman, and Jakob Austin Young defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, Yuya Uemura, and Katsuya Murashima
• Drilla Moloney and Taiji Ishimori defeated Shingo Takagi and Daiki Nagai
• EVIL, Don Fale, and DOUKI defeated Zack Sabre Jr., Ryohei Oiwa, and Hartley Jackson
• G1 Climax - Semifinal Access Match: Konosuke Takeshita defeated David Finlay after 17 minutes by applying the Raging Fire.
• G1 Climax - Semifinal Access Match: Yota Tsuji defeated Shota Umino after applying the Gene Blaster.

Semifinals and What's Next

With the victories of Yota Tsuji and Konosuke Takeshita at Korakuen, the G1 Climax 35 is now down to its final four contenders. Block leaders EVIL (A) and Zack Sabre Jr. (B) advanced directly to the semifinals as winners of their groups, and will face off this Saturday at the Ariake Arena against Tsuji and Takeshita, respectively. Both matches are rematches from the round-robin, where EVIL already defeated Tsuji and ZSJ overcame Takeshita.

The winner of the G1 earns the traditional right to a shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom (Tokyo Dome). Zack Sabre Jr. is the current champion; if he wins the G1, he will be able to personally choose his challenger for the January event.
