In the past few weeks, we have reported on several renewals within All Elite Wrestling. The company has closed new deals with some of its stars to ensure their continuity. This includes prominent talents such as Kota Ibushi or Kyle Fletcher, to which now adds Hook, as confirmed by the specialized media outlet Fightful.
"Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select has reported that, despite his recent absence from the ring, Hook remains firmly under contract with All Elite Wrestling. In fact, Fightful has learned that Hook renewed his contract with AEW at some point in 2024. For now, details about the agreement are scarce, beyond it being a multi-year contract," the media outlet wrote.
"Sources close to the situation assure that, by the time it was reported that Hook had hired the Barry Bloom group to represent him, he had already renewed with AEW and had a secured agreement for several years," the report continued. "We are told that Hook still has several years left on his contract".
Hook has been away from action for over four months, leading many fans to wonder what was the reason for his absence. Speculations came to an end during the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, where a Batman-inspired teaser video hinted at the imminent return of the former FTW champion.
Son of the legend Taz, Hook has been trained by Curt Hawkins and Pat Buck at Create A Pro Wrestling Academy and by Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall at Nightmare Factory. Hook's career in the world of professional wrestling has been entirely linked to All Elite Wrestling, the company where he debuted as a wrestler in 2021.
Despite his short experience in the business, Hook has showcased his skills as a technical wrestler, leading him to win the now-defunct FTW Championship three times. He is currently part of the faction The Opps alongside Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Powerhouse Hobbs, who are in a heated rivalry with La Facción Ingobernable.
