The Rock and Hulk Hogan will be remembered as two of the greatest legends in the history of professional wrestling. Each of them marked an era in this business, taking their names beyond the wrestling rings. Fortunately for the fans, both were able to face each other in a ring, with WrestleMania X8 being the chosen stage for it.

Vince McMahon recalled that moment and the magic that both wrestlers created in the middle of the ring. This is how the former WWE chairman explained it in The Real Hulk Hogan, the documentary that reviews the life of "The Hulkster," who recently passed away at the age of 71.

"You always want to do what the fans want. Seeing these two iconic figures face off... just the anticipation was like, 'Wow, what's going to happen?' They were cheering for Hogan, but in a different way. When they entered the ring and stood face to face, both felt it. It was like, 'Wow, this is incredible, and it's something very different. What are we going to do?' When you see something like that happen, you think, 'Wow, this is unique.' It was a pivotal moment in both of their careers. It was something extraordinary to witness. You were on the edge of your seat. It was magical. He was a trailblazer. There was no one like him," McMahon said.

Hulk Hogan and The Rock shared the ring on eight occasions, both as adversaries and as partners. The Rock can boast of having defeated "The Hulkster" in their only two individual matches, starting with his victory at WrestleMania X8 in what was the highest-rated match of the event.

Currently, The Rock is one of the most well-known and highest-paid stars in Hollywood, in addition to being part of the TKO Board of Directors. "The Final Boss" has occasionally appeared on WWE television programming, participating in some of the most prominent storylines in recent years.

Hulk Hogan passed away on July 24 at the age of 71 after suffering a heart attack. The news shook the world of professional wrestling, generating a wave of tributes and homages. Following the funeral, the legend will be cremated, according to his family's wishes.
