During this week's edition of Raw, it was announced that Naomi would not be able to defend the Women's World Championship against IYO SKY. The lack of information at the time generated concern among fans and the issue became widely discussed on social media. However, an important update has now emerged regarding her situation.
Since it was announced that Naomi would not defend her title, rumors have surfaced that she could be dealing with an injury or even be pregnant. Although nothing has been confirmed, WWE has put an end to speculation by announcing that the champion will be on Raw this Monday to talk about what is really happening.
Naomi's brief reign as champion began just 34 days ago with a surprising cash-in of her Money in the Bank briefcase at Evolution II, followed by a successful defense at SummerSlam. However, if her absence is confirmed, the Women's World Championship would be vacant and her next challenger, Stephanie Vaquer, would be left without an opponent.
Naomi's case is not the first in WWE, as there have been other champions who have had to vacate their title. In April 2024, Rhea Ripley resigned from the Women's World Championship due to an injury, and there is also the case of Becky Lynch, who in May 2020, upon announcing her pregnancy, relinquished the Raw Women's Championship to Miss Money in the Bank, Asuka.
