CMLL Viernes Espectacular results - August 15: MJF retains against Zandokan Jr.

The Viernes Espectacular of CMLL at Arena México left an evening full of action and controversy. The big news of the night came in the main event, where MJF successfully defended the World Light Heavyweight Championship against Zandokan Jr., but ended up igniting the fuse for what could be one of the most important matches of the 92nd Anniversary.

After the match, the American stole Zandokan Jr.'s mask, leading to the intervention of Místico. The idol of the fans accepted a direct challenge: a mask vs. title match at the big September event. However, MJF did not stay behind and brutally attacked Místico, also stripping him of his mask and finishing him off with a Tombstone Piledriver, leaving Arena México in a state of shock.

• Poseidón and Troyano defeated Fury Boy and Péndulo.
• Three falls match: Reyna Isis, Perséphone, and Hera defeated La Catalina and Chicas Indomables (Jarochita and Lluvia) by 2-1. Reyna Isis & Perséphone got into a fight with Chicas Indomables after the match.
• Battle Royal: Averno, Valiente, Rey Bucanero, and Esfinge defeated Bárbaro Cavernario, Último Guerrero, Dragón Rojo Jr., and Felino.
• Tag Team Match (2 out of 3 falls): Hermanos Chávez (Ángel de Oro and Niebla Roja) defeated Titán and Templario by 2-1.
• Místico and Hologram (with KeMonito) defeated The Beast Mortos and Difunto.
• CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship: MJF (c) (with Jon Cruz) defeated Zandokan Jr. After the match, MJF agreed to a mask vs. title match with Místico at the 92nd Anniversary and violently attacked him.
