The G1 Climax 2025 tournament reached its penultimate night this Saturday, August 16th, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan, with the celebration of the two semifinals. EVIL, leader of Block A, defeated Yota Tsuji in a match full of interferences and controversy, while Konosuke Takeshita surprised by defeating Zack Sabre Jr., earning a spot in the grand final of the tournament. The winner on Sunday will secure a direct ticket to the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 20.
In addition to the semifinals, the evening featured several tag team matches where victories by United Empire and House of Torture stood out, as well as the duo of Daiki Nagai and Shingo Takagi who overcame the War Dogs. Below are all the results:
NJPW G1 Climax Results (08/16/2025)
- El Desperado, Ryusuke Taguchi, Shota Umino, YOSHI-HASHI, and Yuya Uemura defeated Master Wato, Satoshi Kojima, Taichi, Toru Yano, and YOH
- House of Torture (Fale and Yujiro Takahashi) defeated Oleg Boltin and Tomoaki Honma
- United Empire (Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, and Jakob Austin Young) overcame El Phantasmo, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Katsuya Murashima
- Daiki Nagai & Shingo Takagi defeated War Dogs (David Finlay and Gedo)
- House of Torture (SANADA and Yoshinobu Kanemaru) defeated War Dogs (Drilla Moloney and Taiji Ishimori). SANADA used his guitar to secure the pinfall.
- House of Torture (DOUKI, Ren Narita, and SHO) defeated TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Kosei Fujita, and Ryohei Oiwa). Narita made Jackson submit with a Figure Four Leg Lock.
- G1 Climax Semifinal: EVIL defeated Yota Tsuji. In the final moments, Dick Togo and Fale intervened, and EVIL took advantage to apply the Darkness Scorpion on Tsuji, leaving him unconscious.
- G1 Climax Semifinal: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Zack Sabre Jr. Takeshita won with the Powerdrive Knee and the Raging Fire.
