WWE continues to prepare a top-notch show for the upcoming Crown Jewel, which will take place in Perth, Australia. However, according to a report from BodySlam.net, the company will not include the defenses of the exclusive titles created in 2024 this year, known as the Crown Jewel championships.

The announcement comes as a setback for fans who were expecting to see Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan defend the belts again, after both became the first champions of this specialty in the last edition. In Rhodes' case, WWE could consider the option, but with Liv Morgan injured, the option of defending the women's title becomes very complicated.

The championships were introduced in 2024 as a way to give the international event its own identity. Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther to become the first male champion, while Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax to become the female champion. At that time, both already held WWE's main championships, which reinforced the importance of the initiative.

However, despite the initial good reception, it seems that the company has chosen not to continue this tradition in 2025. The report highlights that "the current idea is that the Crown Jewel titles will not be defended in this edition." Although WWE could change plans at the last minute, everything points to the titles being off the radar at least this year.

The absence of the Crown Jewel championships does not mean that the show loses relevance. WWE plans to bring together some of its most important figures in Perth, with high-caliber matches that could set the course for the stories towards Survivor Series and Royal Rumble
