Wrestling is experiencing a real fever for puppets. Last night, during the broadcast of Triplemanía XXXIII from Mexico City, Finn Bálor presented to the audience a new doll inspired by his Demon King, named Demonito, during a confrontation in the ring with Mr. Iguana and his plush toy La Yesca. Hours later, it was revealed that the creator of masks and effects, Jason Baker, was the creator of this new item.
The presentation turned into a spectacle when JBL revealed the doll's name. Then, Bálor used Demonito to snatch La Yesca from Iguana's hand, leading to the appearance of Niño Hamburguesa, who offered hamburgers to Bálor and his new partner before Iguana resumed the action.
Hours later, WWE put up for sale in its official store the “Demonito” Plush Puppet replica for $99.99. The description reads: "Made with super soft plush material, this Finn Bálor 'Demonito' plush doll replica is the perfect gift for any WWE Universe fan. Take home a piece of the ring with this figure of one of the biggest Superstars in the world."
Despite the price and complaints, it seems that the item has sold well in the first hours, according to reliable sources. However, many have described the doll's price as a "rip-off".
With Demonito, Bálor joins an increasingly long list of 'plush' characters in wrestling: La Yesca (Mr. Iguana), Lilly (Alexa Bliss), Charly (Charlotte Flair's doll), and Harley Cameron's mini Mone. A resource that, amidst laughter and controversy, continues to set trends inside and outside the ring.
