Since their departure from WWE, Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been on everyone's lips. Both have been featured on many specialized media covers, finding themselves in a whirlwind of popularity around them never seen before.
While many are tired of the hype surrounding the wrestler, others are eager to know what their next steps will be. In fact, many are insistently calling for their return to WWE, and this was clearly seen last Friday during the latest episode of SmackDown. During the face-off between Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn, the Montreal crowd chanted the already popular "We want Kross" insistently. In response to these chants, the wrestler replied on Twitter with a brief but significant "I hear you."
After what happened last Friday, Kross, very active on social media, uploaded a video to his Instagram. In it, he emphasized that the reactions of fans should never be ignored in this world. "You can't ignore the audience in this business. I mean, you can try, but in the end, it's not going to be good. You don't want to make your audience feel like they're not part of this," explained the wrestler.
Furthermore, Kross reflected that these behaviors of WWE, ultimately, only harm themselves, as they distance themselves from their audience and tarnish their own image: "You can't tell them they are part of this, that they are the universe and that they are involved in every aspect, and then, on a whim, tell them that certain groups don't matter. We can't do that. That angers people. That pushes people away."
To defend this stance, Scarlett's husband recalled a conversation he had with R-Truth during a return trip from Saudi Arabia. He remembers how Ron Killings told him that, even though he hadn't won any championships on the main roster, he had achieved an even greater prize: having the fans on his side by his own merit.
Kross explained how Truth illustrated to him: "You know, you haven't won any titles on the main roster, but the only title you have right now and that you will have for the rest of your life as a moment in time is the title that the people gave you when they chose you.' And that's damn real."
Despite many calling for their return, the reality is that the future of Karrion Kross and Scarlett is very uncertain. They have already confirmed their attendance at a signing event in November, and given the great moment of popularity they are going through, it is likely not the only one.
