Since it was announced that they had bought Lucha Libre AAA, WWE has focused a large part of its efforts on promoting the product of the Mexican company. This was already seen with the Worlds Collide show in June, where fans less familiar with AAA's product were pleasantly surprised by the level of the event. Additionally, WWE is giving great importance to the Mexican product, even giving valuable screen time on their Raw or SmackDown shows.

During the past few weeks, one of the main drivers of this alliance would have been Mark Callaway, known to all as The Undertaker. The Deadman was present last Sunday at the Triplemanía XXXIII show, where he was accompanied by other top WWE executives such as Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

WWE released a backstage video from the show. In it, Triple H mentions that a large part of the success of the alliance is thanks to Undertaker himself, who is getting directly involved with the Mexican product with very regular visits to the Central American country. Additionally, many claim that he might even have a role in the creative department.

In the last few hours, Fightful has confirmed that it is expected for Callaway to spend more time backstage. They say he is a highly respected and influential figure, so both WWE and AAA want to keep him in that position.

With these types of decisions, TKO's company is betting on promoting Mexican wrestling, probably not only to continue building it as a major wrestling company, but also to be able to bring out valuable talent that can reach the United States.
