The main event of WWE NXT was an incredible match to determine the next challenger for the NXT Championship at Heatwave. In a action-packed duel, Trick Williams and Je'Von Evans faced off. Williams took early control with powerful attacks, but Evans showed his resilience, continuing the fight despite a blow that left him bleeding.

The pace of the match intensified as Trick took the action outside the ring, with a clear advantage, Williams hoisted Je'Von onto the top rope and forcefully pushed him, causing him to crash onto the announcers' table. While Williams was distracted celebrating, the referee began the count of ten, but in an act of sheer willpower, Je'Von managed to get up and return to the ring at the last second.

Upon his return, the match turned into a back-and-forth exchange of blows by both competitors. Evans unleashed a series of aerial attacks, including a suicide dive and a frog splash, which nearly secured him the victory. Despite his opponent's momentum, Williams responded with his own high-impact moves, delivering an uranage and his signature Trick Shot, but the count only reached two.

In the final moments, a surprising distraction by Mike Santana, who appeared in a box seat, disrupted Trick's focus. Je'Von seized the opportunity to hit a Cutter and, without wasting time, finished off Williams with a second Springboard Cutter for the three count. With this win, Je'Von Evans became the next challenger to Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at Heatwave this weekend.
