In the latest major wave of WWE releases, one of the most surprising names was Braun Strowman, who left the company reportedly due to salary disputes. The wrestler departed in February of this year, and in recent months, little has been heard from him aside from a couple of interviews he has given.
In a video posted on his Instagram account, Strowman announced that at this stage of his life, he isn’t interested in working on anything related to wrestling. Instead, the Wyatt Family’s black sheep will use this time to reconnect with himself, spend time with family and friends whose relationships have cooled, or simply experience new things.
“I’m looking forward to rekindling relationships with family and friends I’ve lost touch with and doing things you simply can’t do while you’re on the road because life is so busy. I’m seeking real, organic, and exciting experiences,” Strowman confessed.
In the post, the former WWE Universal Champion attributed this lack of personal time to the intense lifestyle demanded by wrestling. Nevertheless, he isn’t closing the door on a potential return to the ring. “It’s no secret that over the last decade of my life I’ve traveled the world getting hit in the head, kicked, thrown, hitting others, smashing cars, among many other things. It’s been an absolutely incredible journey. I’m not saying I won’t return to the ring to kick some ass, because we all know I can, but it’s an opportunity to try new things and I’m really looking forward to it,” Strowman declared.
During his speech, he admitted that one of his passions is food and drink. That’s why one of Braun’s new ventures is a television project related to cooking. Additionally, the giant hinted that he will soon launch a tequila brand, another of his great hobbies. “I’m embarking on a path in a space I’ve never been before. I can’t wait to share it with you, with the tequila I’ve come to love, in which I believe and want to support in its journey and bring it to all of you. I can’t wait to announce it. Stay tuned,” he announced.
In recent weeks, Braun Strowman made headlines for criticizing WWE sharply following Karrion Kross’ departure. “They don’t care about the fans, only nepotism,” he declared on social media.
