Almost a month after his death, Hulk Hogan's name continues to make headlines in wrestling media. This time, it is due to a shocking detail about his death.

According to TMZ, a determining factor in Terry Bollea's death would have been medical negligence. As confirmed by the Sky media, the deceased's wife stated that her husband's phrenic nerve had been severed during one of his last operations. The function of this nerve is vital for the proper functioning of the diaphragm and, by extension, breathing itself.

Although the official cause of death was an acute myocardial infarction, many sources claim that Hogan's was not a typical heart attack, but he simply stopped breathing.

The Clearwater Police Department's report on the 911 call from Hogan's house is currently under "restriction," but details have been revealed. In this case, an occupational therapist was present when Hogan stopped breathing, and told the police that he believed it was due to medical malpractice. The reason: during a recent operation, the surgeon severed the phrenic nerve of the former WWE Champion, which would explain why he suddenly stopped breathing.

The autopsy of the body has already been performed, although its results have not been published. Additionally, he has not yet been cremated. When the results of the body study are released, we will be able to know for certain if the information provided by Hogan's widow to TMZ is medically accurate.
