CM Punk is living one of his best stages as a professional wrestler. Since his return to WWE, "The Best in the World" has become one of the pillars of the company's television programming, and one of the most acclaimed wrestlers by the audience. In addition, CM Punk has been praised for his attitude backstage, where he has not hesitated to help his colleagues, especially the younger talent.

That CM Punk is enjoying his new stage in WWE is unquestionable if we look at his promos, backstage videos, or comments on social media. Meanwhile, in a recent interview on First Take de ESPN, he was directly asked if his current stage in WWE is turning out as he expected.

"For me, yes, I think it has been everything I always thought WWE could and should be, both behind the scenes and in front of the cameras. That is a better question to ask the fans, because ultimately, they are my bosses. They are our bosses. And I think they would agree. I did some pretty spectacular things with Drew McIntyre and, unfortunately, currently I am still (dealing with) a thorn in my side, Seth Rollins, involved in all that whirlwind. We are trying to turn the page," CM Punk replied.

About his current rivalry with Seth Rollins

"Gunther gave me a brutal beating. It was not a pleasant experience. In the end, you don't beat him, you just survive Gunther, and then I was champion for the first time in 12 years and felt like I had returned to the top of the mountain... and there comes old Tiny Tim limping with his crutches. Turns out everything was fake, he even lied to his daughter. That's the kind of person I'm dealing with," said "The Best in the World".

"Why didn't I just run away? That's the question many are asking me, and the simple answer is that I don't run away. Also, I don't think I could at that moment, I was too exhausted," he added.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins will meet again in the ring with the World Heavyweight Championship at stake. Both will be part of a four-way match with LA Knight and Jey Uso at WWE Clash in Paris. The winner will leave the French capital with the top gold of Monday Night Raw around their waist.
