The former Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion of the UFC, Daniel Cormier, is known by wrestling fans as just another fan. "It would have been one of the safest fights I could have had. It's the truth. I like Brock. He's a great guy, but I saw what Cain did to him. I saw how he reacted to taking hits. He would have to take me down to win. I know how to wrestle. If he tries to take me down, I'll make it so difficult for him that by the time he does, he'll be exhausted. That's what happened with Cain. He took down Cain, Cain got up and started kneeing him in the face. I saw Brock recently. He still has that scar under his eye from when Cain kneed him. He still has that big scar," explained Cormier.
Unfortunately, the fight between Cormier and Lesnar did not take place at that time. Fans saw it as a real possibility after Brock pushed Cormier following his victory over Stipe Miocic in 2018. However, Lesnar decided not to agree to the fight to avoid risking a loss and damaging his reputation within WWE.
A few weeks ago, Lesnar returned to WWE at the end of SummerSlam 2025. Despite being involved in Janel Grant's double lawsuit against WWE and Vince McMahon, the company decided to bring back the Beast Incarnate, who attacked John Cena.
