Tonight we’ll once again enjoy live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which on this occasion will be broadcast live from the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. The blue brand’s show will mark the start of WWE’s European tour on the road to Clash in Paris, and will feature John Cena, who will address the Irish fans in one of his last appearances before retiring as a professional.
In addition, the tag team division will continue to have a major role, with two matches announced. Also, Charlotte Flair will be in action when she faces Piper Niven in a singles match. As always, we invite you to comment on this post to share your opinions on what happens during the show.
WWE SmackDown kicks off on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight’s stars: Logan Paul, The Street Profits (with B-Fab), MFT in full, Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice.
Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore welcome us from ringside in front of a noisy crowd.
Becky Lynch opens tonight’s historic show. “The Man” is greeted with a huge ovation from the crowd in her home country. Becky asks for a microphone. Emotional, she listens to the fans chanting. “Olé, olé, olé, olé,” they sing. Becky recalls that this is the first ever televised WWE event from Dublin. “We deserve it!” chant the fans. Lynch remembers attending WWE live events in Dublin, watching stars like Randy Orton in action and dreaming of a televised event from this city. Now that her wish has come true, she makes something clear: the fans don’t deserve it. She even tried to convince management to cancel the show, but failed. “We want Lyra!” chant the fans. Lynch reminds them that won’t happen, as Valkyria can no longer challenge for her championship. Lynch insists that the fans don’t deserve this show because she hasn’t been treated as the star she is. “Shut the f*** up!” the crowd chants.
Becky says the fans have disappointed her, pointing out that Sports Illustrated, an American publication, was the first to recognize her as the greatest of all time. Lynch lists her many achievements inside and outside the ring. She’s a Grand Slam champion who keeps making history (and is doing it right now). Plus, her husband is American. Becky complains that the city hasn’t even erected a statue in her honor. “CM Punk, CM Punk!” chant the fans. Lynch responds that nobody wants to see that “old man.” She keeps berating the local media for giving more attention to other athletes and personalities (like Bono from U2) instead of her. “The Man” continues her promo, but...
Tiffany Stratton interrupts!
The WWE Champion is greeted with a huge ovation. “Tiffy Time!” chant the fans. Stratton doesn’t understand how Becky can be so ungrateful to her hometown crowd. She even suggests Becky is on the wrong show. Tiffany tells her to leave the ring, or she’ll personally take care of it.
Nia Jax makes her entrance!
Nia questions why Stratton even cares about Becky, since she has bigger problems. Lynch laughs, but Nia pushes Tiffany. Jax kicks the champion. Becky joins “The Irresistible Force.”
Jade Cargill storms the ring!
Jade takes out Jax. Becky and Jade face off. “You’re f***ed!” chant the fans. Tiffany returns to hit Nia as she’s trying to get back in. Becky leaves the ring. At that moment, Nick Aldis arrives to announce that all four women will face each other tonight in a tag team match.
We see Carmelo Hayes walking backstage. HIM runs into Axiom and Nathan Frazer, who stop him to say he earned their respect last week. However, they warn him to be careful with The Miz, who always wants the spotlight. Miz shows up, upset with what he just heard. Hayes interrupts, pointing out that he’ll handle it. Carmelo reminds the Europeans that The Miz was making history before they even started their careers, which makes him the smartest superstar of them all. The Miz nods. Carmelo and Miz leave the scene. “Thanks,” says Hayes to Axiom and Frazer before continuing.
Tag Team Match
Melo Don’t Miz (The Miz & Carmelo Hayes) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)
The Miz and Carmelo argue over who will start. Miz orders his partner to stay in the corner, but Melo tags himself in as the bell rings. HIM and Sabin start things off. Chris pushes Melo into his corner, where Miz tries to tag himself in, but Hayes dodges. The fight continues. Miz finally tags in. Hayes smirks.
The Motor City Machine Guns team up against their rivals, sending them out of the ring. Sabin dives onto both with a suicide dive. Alex drags Melo back into the ring and unleashes punches in the corner. Miz takes advantage of a referee distraction to hit Shelley illegally. Hayes drops Alex before hitting a legdrop.
Miz tags in to stomp Shelley. Melo and Miz keep tagging in, punishing Alex. He finally escapes to tag Sabin, who comes in hot. Chris hits a tornado DDT on Miz. 1…2…NO. Alex and Chris combine perfectly against Miz. Hayes tries to help but also falls to their teamwork.
Carmelo surprises Sabin with a Tilt-a-Whirl Facebuster. He tries to finish with Melo Don’t Miss, but Miz tags himself in. Both men argue, allowing their rivals to recover. Carmelo hits Sabin with a Codebreaker before Alex knocks him out of the ring. Miz covers a knocked-out Sabin. 1…2…3.
Winners: Melo Don’t Miz
Miz leaves the ring to join Carmelo, who doesn’t look too happy with the ending. Miz, however, celebrates euphorically over another tag team victory.
Cathy Kelley interviews Jimmy Uso backstage. Sami Zayn interrupts to hug Jimmy, congratulating him on the birth of his first child. Zayn insists that baby will have an uncle. MFT shows up. Solo Sikoa jokes that the baby will have many uncles, maybe even named after “Uncle Solo.” Jimmy refuses with a “No YEET.” Sami confronts Sikoa. Solo mocks the Canadian, asking if he still wants to go against their faction. Zayn replies that he’s not talking as Sami the underdog, but as Sami the WrestleMania main-eventer. Sikoa and his men leave, ending the segment.
Piper Niven (with Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre) vs. Charlotte Flair
They start with a feeling-out process. Niven drops Flair with a shoulder tackle. Charlotte fights back with a diving crossbody and chops. Chelsea distracts her, allowing Piper to surprise Flair with a Black Hole Slam. “Chelsea, Chelsea Green!” chant the fans.

Winner: Piper Niven
Kiana James is seen talking with Giulia backstage. Michin interrupts to tell the United States Women’s Champion that she wants a word with her. Kiana insists she must go through her first. Michin refuses, saying she’ll deal with Kiana before moving on to challenge “The Beautiful Madness” for the title. “I’m not worried,” says Giulia before leaving with her manager.
John Cena makes his entrance. The crowd goes wild. “The Greatest of All Time” rushes into the ring for his final promo as a professional wrestler in Dublin. “Cena, Cena!” chant the fans. “Olé, olé, olé, olé,” they continue. John enjoys the moment before asking Mark Nash to give him a proper introduction. “Cena, Cena, Cena!” the fans chant again. John takes the mic, but before he can say a word...
Logan Paul interrupts!
The fans boo “The Maverick” loudly. Logan enjoys it as he makes his way to the ring. “F*** you, Logan!” chant the fans. Paul mocks them, first confusing them with the English and then insulting them as a bunch of drunken Irish dwarfs. He tells them to shut up, reminding them they paid to see him. Paul goes straight to Cena, saying he’s nothing more than an actor who knows how to wrestle. “Shut the f*** up!” chant the crowd. Logan reminds them their insults are being censored on TV. He recalls that he’s been competing in WWE for four years and is now the best superstar in the company, while Cena is nothing more than a corporate pawn who follows orders. Paul insists he does whatever he wants—he creates moments. The fans boo and call him “impostor.” Logan claims the only impostor is Cena, who’s been gone for years while he has been here. “This is my house now, John!” Paul exclaims.
Cena takes the mic to admit that Logan has undeniable presence. He’s a great athlete, a future WWE Champion, and a future WrestleMania main eventer. John says he believes all of that—but it bothers him too. Cena points out that Logan is also seen as an outsider, even a disappointment, because WWE welcomed him in and gave him opportunities just for business. John heads to ringside and knocks over the PRIME stand. Back in the ring, Cena reminds Logan that in four years he’s had only 23 matches, while John has given his heart to WWE for 23 years. Cena recalls some of his greatest moments in the company, while Logan spent that time making YouTube videos with his brother. John says he always asked, “What can I give to this business?” while Logan only asks, “What can I take?” That’s why he’s not an outsider. No. “Logan Paul is a parasite,” Cena declares. “Parasite! Parasite!” chant the fans.
Cena says Paul is stealing time and focus from real WWE superstars like AJ Styles and Jacob Fatu. He now has the biggest opportunity of his career at Clash in Paris. Cena warns that Logan doesn’t know loyalty or respect, so he should leave WWE because this place isn’t for him. John closes by telling Paul to bring his very best to Paris, because he’ll be facing the best. Cena promises to put him down unless Paul learns what it means to give everything for this business.
Furious, Logan slaps Cena’s cap to the mat. Paul keeps provoking John, who finally has had enough. Cena grabs him and delivers an Attitude Adjustment. John picks up his cap and heads backstage, waving goodbye to the fans. Meanwhile, Logan recovers with a malicious smile on his face.
Tiffany Stratton approaches Jade Cargill backstage, telling her she didn’t need her help. Cargill replies she just wants her at 100%, because once they beat Nia Jax, she’ll be going after her title.
A furious Logan Paul is shown walking backstage. Drew McIntyre approaches him, saying “The Maverick” is afraid of John Cena. Drew reminds him Cena isn’t “Super Cena” anymore. Paul is better than him now, and tonight he needs to do whatever it takes to solve this problem—just like Drew did two weeks ago with Cody Rhodes. “Whatever it takes,” insists McIntyre before leaving. Logan looks pensive.

Solo climbs the announce table, but Sami Zayn shows up and knocks him down, hitting a Helluva Kick. Sami jumps the barricade to escape Loa and JC. Suddenly, Ford dives onto both with a tope con hilo. Montez throws Mateo back in, Angelo hits a spinebuster, and Ford finishes with a Frog Splash. 1…2…3.
Winners: The Street Profits
Aleister Black makes his entrance. R-Truth appears on the screen to say he took the wrong flight (who knew there were two places called Dublin?). But he has good news: he’s found someone—a good friend—to replace him tonight.
Damian Priest appears!
Damian rushes the ring and attacks Black. The fight spills to ringside. A swarm of officials and security try to separate them but struggle to contain their fury. The segment ends as the brawl heads backstage.
Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett announce there’s no update on Cody Rhodes’ condition. Drew McIntyre interrupts, grabs the script, and heads to the ring. Drew addresses Rhodes, warning him to enjoy his Undisputed WWE Championship reign, because once they meet, he’ll take it. Drew says he’s talked to many people backstage, and nobody wants Rhodes there—not even his friends. The crowd erupts. Randy Orton sneaks up and nails an RKO. Randy celebrates with the fans as the segment ends.
Nia Jax approaches Becky Lynch backstage. “The Irresistible Force” and “The Man” agree to work together tonight. “Alright. See you out there,” says Jax before heading to the ring.

Nia climbs for a finisher, but Jade recovers and powerbombs her. Stratton tags in and lands a Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Cargill follows with a Frog Splash. 1…2…3.
Winners: Tiffany Stratton & Jade Cargill
We see a smiling John Cena leaving the arena. A worried Nick Aldis rushes over: “I just spoke to Brock Lesnar,” he says. But before he can continue… Logan Paul blindsides Cena with a One Lucky Punch!
“The Maverick” runs off as Cena lies unconscious on the floor. Aldis calls for help to check on “The Greatest of All Time.” That’s how tonight’s episode of SmackDown comes to a close.
