The Undertaker is about to surprise his followers with a project very different from wrestling. According to various Indian media outlets, including The Times of India, the legendary wrestler would be part of season 19 of Bigg Boss, the most-watched reality show in the country and hosted by the actor and producer Salman Khan.
The new season began filming this Friday in Mumbai and, if the rumors are confirmed, the Deadman would be one of the three wildcard entries of the program. It is expected that his participation will last between seven and ten days, living in the house under the constant gaze of cameras and public voting. Undertaker would not be the only big name on the list. Another WWE Hall of Famer, Mike Tyson, has also been linked to the reality show as a possible surprise addition. So far, however, the production of Bigg Boss has not officially confirmed either of the two signings.
The connection between WWE and Bigg Boss is not new. In 2010, The Great Khali already participated in the fourth season as a guest contestant, even reaching the final and finishing in second place behind actress Shweta Tiwari.
Bigg Boss is the Indian version of the popular international format Big Brother. In the show, a group of celebrities live together in a house completely isolated from the outside world and monitored by cameras 24 hours a day. Contestants must overcome weekly challenges, face nominations, and rely on public votes to stay in the game. With over a decade on the air and 19 seasons, it has become one of the highest-rated programs in India.
The Undertaker has been in the news in recent days for his involvement with the Lucha Libre AAA project. According to several sources, the Deadman has been one of the main driving forces behind the acquisition of the Mexican company.
