AEW announces its return to Australia with a tour in February 2026

All Elite Wrestling will return to Australia in 2026 with a tour that will visit several cities. The company's president, Tony Khan, has confirmed in an interview with Ned Balme from 9News Queensland that the tour will kick off on February 14th with the televised special AEW Grand Slam: Sydney, to be held at the Qudos Bank Arena. The day after, on February 15th, an untelevised House Rules event will take place at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

One of the most excited about AEW's return to his country is the current TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher. The Australian recalled that his first experience at a live wrestling show was precisely at the Qudos Bank Arena, the same venue where he will now have the opportunity to compete.

The arena where I first saw professional wrestling, I was sitting way up high, with the cheapest tickets, literally about three rows from the back. I remember that night and how I fell even more in love with this sport. So I think when I walk into that arena, it's going to be an incredible feeling. It's going to feel like closing a circle in my life.

AEW made its debut in Australia in February 2025 with the Grand Slam event. Although initially planned for the Suncorp Stadium, it was ultimately held at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, where the company faced some logistical issues. Nevertheless, the announcement of this new 2026 tour demonstrates All Elite Wrestling's commitment to further consolidating its brand in the Australian market.

With this move, AEW reinforces its international expansion strategy in a field where WWE has also intensified its presence with tours and premium live events. In October, WWE will hold four events in Perth and Melbourne, three of them televised and one premium event (Crown Jewel).
