This evening, AEW and NJPW held the 2025 edition of Forbidden Door, a show that featured great matches and memorable moments. In a surprising turn of events, Brodido, the duo formed by Bandido and Brody King, were crowned the new AEW World Tag Team Champions after defeating The Hurt Syndicate and FTR.
The match started with total chaos, as the challengers attacked the champions, taking the action to ringside immediately. In the ring, Bandido and Dax Harwood engaged in a technical battle that was soon interrupted by The Hurt Syndicate, who used their strength to dominate. Despite Brody King's attempts to get involved, the champions kept their team at bay.
The pace of the match accelerated when Brody finally entered the ring and went on a rampage against all his opponents. The match escalated with a series of high-impact moves, including a Cannonball from Brody to FTR and an impressive Tornillo from Bandido. The action spilled to the outside of the ring, where Bandido even executed a spectacular Fallaway Slam Moonsault on Cash Wheeler and the rest of the wrestlers.
In the final moments, a controversial interference changed the course of the match. Just when it seemed like The Hurt Syndicate had control, two hooded wrestlers dressed in NJPW attire attacked the champions. After revealing themselves as Ricochet and Gates of Agony, they cost Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin the victory. Taking advantage of the confusion, Brody King launched Bandido for a 450 Splash on Dax Harwood, sealing the victory and crowning Brodido as the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
