On an incredible night of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 in London, which featured amazing title defenses, new tag team champions, unexpected returns, and a brutal main event, it was also announced that the event broke the attendance record at the O2 Arena.

AEW President Tony Khan announced that Forbidden Door broke the attendance record for a wrestling event at the O2 Arena in London. The official figure was 18,992 fans, surpassing the previous record of 17,617 set by WWE Money in the Bank 2023 at the same venue.

The iconic O2 Arena is the second largest indoor arena in the UK, behind only the Manchester Arena. With a capacity of 20,000 spectators, All Elite Wrestling came close to filling the venue completely, and it is very likely that in future dates when the company decides to hold events at the O2 Arena, it will achieve a full house.

During the post-Forbidden Door press conference, AEW President Tony Khan discussed the company's future plans. Among them, he mentioned their intention to hold events next year in Mexico and the UK. Additionally, Khan expressed his honor in sharing the attendance record at the O2 Arena with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
