Jack Perry’s future in AEW could be away from the Young Bucks

It has been over eight months since we last saw Jack Perry step into the ring. In his latest appearance in All Elite, Perry lost his TNT title at last year's Full Gear event, where he was defeated by Daniel García. Since that match, Perry played a significant role on the road to the Wrestle Dynasty event. In the joint show between NJPW and AEW, the "Scapegoat" unsuccessfully challenged Yota Tsuji for his IWGP Heavyweight Global Championship.

Before his departure, Perry made a heel turn after his face run. His character was solidified after aligning with The Elite, an alliance that elevated the wrestler to levels of the roster he hadn't reached since joining the company in 2019. Despite his TNT Championship win, fans were not entirely convinced by his role in the programming. However, this phase of the wrestler alongside the Young Bucks could come to an end very soon.

Following numerous reports about a very close return of Jack Perry, the new Being the Elite video could have given us many clues about the direction he might take upon his return. The video, less than a minute long, shows the Bucks watching a replay of their match from yesterday at Forbidden Door. In the final moments of the fight, Matt Jackson's phone receives a call from Jack Perry. Without much thought, one of the Young Bucks hangs up the call.

This video could indicate that, when Perry returns to programming, he might have a storyline related to a fallout with the former EVPs of AEW. After the little benefit this villain role has brought to his career, this new phase of the wrestler could involve a face turn.
