WWE NXT confirms participants for the Women’s Speed Championship Tournament

A few days ago, Ava, the General Manager of WWE NXT, announced that the Speed Championships would become part of NXT and to determine the next challenger for the champion, Sol Ruca, a tournament with representatives from different brands will be held, tonight during the show the four participants were confirmed.

The experienced Faby Apache will be the representative of Lucha Libre AAA in the competition. Considered one of the faces of the women's division for years, the wrestler has an impressive record, which includes reigns as Queen of Queens Champion and Mixed Tag Team Champion. Her participation in the tournament comes after she failed to win the Queen of Queens Championship at Triplemanía in a match against Lady Flammer and Natalya.

WWE will have two contenders in the tournament, with representatives from two of its main brands. Lainey Reid, from NXT, will be the first participant, a wrestler who has been on the rise since her debut in NXT Level Up. On the other hand, SmackDown will be represented by Candice LeRae, making her return to the blue brand after her last appearance in 2021.

Finally, TNA has chosen the young British star Xia Brookside for the tournament, a wrestler with experience in NXT UK, where she actively participated from 2018 to 2022. Additionally, Xia will make her debut in NXT next week when she faces Candice LeRae in the first round of the tournament.
