Melina, one of the great figures of the women's division of WWE in the 2000s, has confirmed that she will return to the ring this afternoon. The wrestler announced on Facebook that she will return at the #DragAttackParis event, with the added excitement of doing it in a very special city for her.

"Returning to Paris means a lot to me. When I was young, I dreamed of this city, and when I came with WWE, we left so quickly that it broke my heart. Still, its beauty, culture, and spirit stayed with me all these years. Now I am happy to return, not only to enjoy France, but also to fight again in the city where I won my second title," she wrote on social media.

Melina's most recent match took place in the Wrestle Nation Battle Royal at the PWS Wrestle Nation event, held at the KBS Arena in Seoul (South Korea), where KA Kid emerged victorious over 2Shinbi, Andre Cartier, Byeolbit Naru, Charlie West, Dr. XXplosive, Ikemen Jiro, Melina, Pixel, and The Boy Diva.

The coincidence with the upcoming WWE Clash in Paris, which will take place this Sunday, August 31, has further fueled anticipation, although it is not yet known if this return will be a one-time appearance or the beginning of a new stage for the veteran wrestler.

Melina ended her time in WWE in August 2011 when she was released after several years of ups and downs. Despite being one of the most recognizable figures of the "Divas Era," with three reigns as Women's Champion and two as Divas Champion, her departure came amidst rumors of internal tensions and the feeling that the company did not find its place in the evolution of the division. After her departure, she remained active in the independent circuit with occasional appearances in various promotions, and although there was talk of a possible return in 2020, it did not materialize.
