One of the strangest collaborations in recent years within the wrestling scene has arrived. One of the most iconic video game sagas of all time, the Pokémon universe, will collaborate with the nearly century-old wrestling company, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.

In an announcement posted on Twitter by Pokémon Latam, we have learned that the company will hold a special show on September 25th at the Arena México. The event will start at 7 PM local time, and tickets are already available for purchase. Additionally, it will be broadcast for free on YouTube on the official CMLL channel.

The link between these two corporations is the Pokémon Hawlucha. Hailing from the Kalos region and set to receive a new mega evolution in the upcoming video game, this Pokémon stands out for being a hawk characterized with a lucha libre outfit. Given its importance in the new release, it's no surprise that Pokémon is interested in promoting it in social circles where its impact can resonate the most.

This new strategy will be highly beneficial for both parties. As mentioned, through this partnership, Pokémon ensures it captures the attention of wrestling fans less familiar with its universe, while also offering a dream alliance to its most devoted enthusiasts. On the other hand, CMLL will also gain exposure to an audience that may not have been reached or impacted by their product until now.

The show has captivated the vast majority of fans, who have deemed this collaboration as one of the strangest they have ever witnessed in the wrestling scene
