This evening a new episode of Friday Night SmackDown was held, this time from the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France. The show featured several matches and highlights, with the encounter between John Cena and Logan Paul standing out before their clash at WWE Clash in Paris.
Logan Paul opened the SmackDown show by appearing from inside a car near the arena. The former United States champion got into the ring and began to boast about his image and importance, which led the audience to constantly boo him. Logan Paul stated that "W-W-E" will become "W-W-me".
Paul continued to heat up the atmosphere by speaking French on some occasions and speaking ill of John Cena. This went on until the undisputed former champion intervened with his theme music and a great ovation. Cena was introduced in a spectacular way and recalled Logan Paul's words about being responsible for some recent WWE achievements. However, Cena pointed out that Paul does not have the influence of the big stars. "You're not here to say 'wrestling', you're here for your own benefit," Cena commented.
John Cena addressed the audience in French, which they liked, but Logan Paul responded in the same language, claiming that John Cena is stupid. Cena believes that Logan Paul has been given many opportunities but has shown no respect.
The seventeen-time champion stepped into the ringisde to show him what respect is. Cena found the famous kid who messed with him a few months ago in Belgium and asked for forgiveness, recalling that he had a bad day. Finally, Cena stood in front of Logan Paul and assured him that he will not ruin wrestling, but wrestling will take care of ruining him.
The rivalry between Logan Paul and John Cena began a few weeks ago. In the previous episode of SmackDown, we witnessed one of the most tense moments between them when they had a face-off in Dublin, Ireland, which ended with John Cena executing the Attitude Adjustment on his rival.
In the final moments of the show, a triumphant John Cena left the arena, but was stopped by Nick Aldis, who claimed to have news for John Cena. As the SmackDown General Manager was about to spill the beans, Logan Paul appeared out of nowhere and knocked out John Cena with a punch.
