During the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about the future of Chris Jericho, especially after it was revealed that his current contract with All Elite Wrestling ends at the end of the year 2025. That's why many have speculated about his return to WWE.

In a new episode of his podcast 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff talked about the future of Chris Jericho. Bischoff highlighted Jericho's ability to reinvent himself and suggested that his absence from television could have a clear purpose: to improve his physical condition and be ready.

Jericho has immense pride and is a natural competitor. I believe he is off-screen because he will come back looking in great shape. And if his contract ends in a few months, there is no better way to negotiate than by creating market buzz with rumors, likes, and comments that stir up the internet. Jericho is too smart not to do it.

The former executive added that he wouldn't mind if Jericho ended his career in WWE, where he believes he would have a stage befitting his legacy. "I hope he goes to WWE. I hope he ends up there. It's not a lack of respect for AEW, but the difference is clear. Who wants to win a trophy in the minor leagues when you can win a World Series with the Yankees? That's the comparison: AEW is the minor leagues, WWE is the Yankees."

For Bischoff, a farewell from Jericho on the world's biggest stage would be the perfect conclusion to a career that has already made him one of the most influential and long-lasting figures in wrestling history. It remains to be seen whether Y2J decides to return or sign a renewal with All Elite Wrestling.
