WWE NXT starts on Netflix!

We see the arrival of some of the protagonists of tonight: Ricky Saints, Oba Femi, Hank Walker, and Tank Ledger, and the complete DarkState.

Jaida Parker vs. Lash Legend

Both women face off before exchanging shoves. Jaida slaps Lash, who responds by charging her rival into one of the corners. Legend unleashes a flurry of attacks on Parker. She returns the favor in the opposite corner. Lash stops Jaida's offense before taking her down with a shoulder tackle. Legend finishes her off with a standing splash. 1...2...NO.

Lash traps Jaida to hit her against the first and second rope. Parker tries to surprise Legend with a roll-up, but her rival doesn't allow it. Jaida grabs her opponent's left arm to hit her at will. Parker continues without releasing her opponent. Meanwhile, we see Je'Von Evans arriving at the venue. Lash frees herself, only to receive the impact of a poorly executed diving crossbody. 1..2..NO.

Parker traps Lash in one of the corners, where she tries to apply The Silencer. However, Legend stops her with a claw. Lash continues to hold her while taking her to the center of the ring, where she executes a chokeslam. 1..2..NO. Parker seems to have hurt her head in the fall. The referee approaches her to check on her condition. Jaida pushes him away, making it clear she wants to continue.

Lash traps her rival in a crossface on the canvas. Legend converts the hold into a headlock as her opponent tries to escape. Parker kicks Lash, who responds forcefully. Legend unleashes a flurry of punches on Parker while immobilizing her in the ropes. Lash executes a clothesline. 1..2..NO. Legend traps Parker in a bear hug. "Let's go Jaida! Let's go Lash," fans chant to cheer on their favorite.

Parker executes several headbutts to free herself, but her opponent responds with a tremendous chop, followed by a powerslam. Lash charges with a standing splash, but this time Parker dodges it. Jaida starts a counterattack that finally brings down her opponent. Parker crushes Legend in one of the corners before executing a backstabber. Jaida finishes her off with a spinning neckbreaker. 1...2...NO. Legend knees Jaida to stop her offense before finishing her with a backbreaker. 1..2..NO.

Parker dodges a charge from Lash in one of the corners. After that, she immobilizes her between the ropes to finally apply The Silencer. Parker executes a samoan drop, but Legend rolls to ringside to avoid the subsequent three count. Jaida grabs her hair in an attempt to stop her, but ends up at ringside with her. Once there, Lash surprises Parker with a big boot. Legend traps her opponent to execute the Lash Extension on the commentary table. Legend takes her rival back to the ring, where she applies a second - and definitive - Lash Extension. 1..2..3.

Winner: Lash Legend

Victorious, Lash heads backstage, but not before dedicating a few words to Jaida. Legend continues her way down the entrance ramp. Parker decides she won't let things end like this and goes after her enemy, whom she hits from behind. Jaida throws her against the metal stairs before applying the Hipnotic along the public barrier, which ends up shattered. Several officials appear on the scene to restore order.

We see Arianna Grace chatting with Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo backstage. Blake Monroe interrupts them. "Stacks" leaves, allowing the two women to talk. Grace calls herself a fan of "The Glamour" before lending her a lash serum. Monroe is glad to find someone in NXT with such good taste. Blake regrets that her story with Jordynne Grace didn't end at Heatwave. Grace confesses that she doesn't like "The Juggernaut" either. In fact, they are not related even though they share a last name. Blake is glad to hear that. Suddenly, her face changes completely. "You!" she exclaims as she points to the door. Jordynne makes her entrance, ready to fight the Brit. The talent in the room rushes to separate them, including Kali Armstrong, who receives a push from "The Juggernaut." She realizes that Blake has disappeared. Suddenly, a furious Kali confronts her. "Hey, this is the second time you've done this. The first time you interfered in my debut, and now this. This place doesn't revolve around you, and it never will. Thought you had problems with Blake Monroe? Now you have problems with Kali Armstrong," says the WWE Evolve Champion before leaving.

Je'Von Evans makes his way to the ring. The audience welcomes him warmly. Evans thanks them for it. In a serious tone, Je'Von apologizes for his mood, but after what happened at Heatwave, he can't be the same. He has been praised and advised by legends. He thought he was ready to beat Oba Femi. He felt full of confidence. He even called his older sister to tell her he was going to make history. However, when he thought he had won the match, he saw Oba Femi's foot under the rope. And although he was able to recover from that setback, he couldn't do anything more. After Femi's final assault, he only remembers the Nigerian's arm being raised as the winner of the match. Je'Von apologizes to the fans for disappointing them. "We still love you!" chants the audience. Evans insists he believed he would make it, but the reality is that he failed once again. That's why he hasn't spoken to anyone in the last week. Suddenly, we see a biker arriving at the venue. Je'Von tries not to pay attention, but...

DONG!

Fans get excited, expecting The Undertaker to enter... but... it's Josh Briggs. "Were you expecting someone else?," he asks mockingly. The audience boos him heavily.

Josh heads to the ring, pointing out that he's here to offer advice to Evans. "Je'Von, you're immature. You're everything I hate about the NXT locker room," he says. Briggs reminds him that, at just 21 years old, he has had many opportunities and has participated in several main events. Je'Von knows what Josh is trying to do, and he's not willing to play along. Not at this moment. "You sucks!" chants the fans. "Stop doing that. I'll take it out on him," Briggs responds as a threat.

Josh believes Evans isn't doing the right thing. He shouldn't have waited for a new opportunity; he should have stood up to Oba Femi to demand a rematch. But instead of that, he let Ricky Saints get ahead of him to become the new challenger. Je'Von tries to respond, but Josh interrupts him, pointing out that he's not done. Briggs asks him to imagine what it feels like to wait for an opportunity that never comes when you know you're better than any other wrestler on this roster. Evans insists he doesn't want to play this game right now. "Briggs, get out of here!," the fans chant.

Josh acknowledges that Evans is good, but he will never beat Femi because "The Ruler" is much better. Je'Von tries to respond, but Briggs knocks him down with a big boot. Josh continues to kick Evans. "You need to learn when to fight and when to stay down!," he exclaims before getting off the ring to look for a metal chair. Josh returns to set it up in the center of the ring. Briggs traps Je'Von to execute a chokeslam. Evans' head hits the chair. Josh stands next to his victim as the segment comes to an end.

We see a promotional video starring Xia Brookside and Candice LeRae, who will face each other next in the first round of the WWE Speed tournament. Xia officially introduces herself to the NXT universe before her debut on the brand, recalling that she has competed against some of the best wrestlers during her participation in the Mae Young Classic, in NXT UK, and now in TNA Wrestling. Brookside is aware that her opponent tonight was a former WWE Speed Champion, but nothing will stop her from defeating her to get closer to the championship. Candice, for her part, points out that she's back in NXT for one reason: to regain her WWE Speed Championship. For LeRae, Brookside is just a stepping stone that will lead her to Sol Ruca to become the first woman to win the WWE Speed Women's Championship twice.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger conspire with Ricky Saints and Oba Femi in the locker room. The former tag team champions assure Saints and Femi that they can count on each other. Convinced that their partners will play well as a team, Hank and Tank leave to outline a small extra plan for the match. One they don't want to reveal yet. Walker and Ledger head straight to catering to consume calories. Oba approaches Saints. "Good friends, huh?," he says. Ricky nods, but also hopes that Femi is focused on tonight's match. Oba assures him that he is, suggesting that he worry more about himself. "Always," Saints replies before leaving the locker room to end the segment.

The action moves to one of the corners, where the Brit applies a new hurricanrana, followed by a dropkick. Brookside performs a running meteora on Candice. After that, she takes her down with a Russian Leg Sweep. 1..2..NO.

One minute into the match. LeRae blocks a Monkey Flip to then throw Xia out of the ring. Candice brings her back, but her opponent surprises her with a roll-up. 1..2..NO. LeRae applies a dropkick. Xia dodges a moonsault to respond with a codebreaker. 1..2..NO.

Two minutes into the match. The action moves to the top of one of the corners. Candice blocks an attack from Brookside to respond with a tornado DDT. Brookside is stunned, kneeling on the canvas. Candice jumps on her with a senton before finishing her off with a definitive springboard moonsault. 1..2..3.

Winner: Candice LeRae (2:36)

We move to the men's locker room, where the members of Chase U are talking to Dante Chen. On the other hand, we see High Ryze talking among themselves. Josh Briggs makes his entrance, causing them all to stop talking. Briggs encourages them to keep talking, or to say something to his face... if they have the balls to do it. High Ryze leave the place. Kale Dixon, from Chase U, stands up. "I have the balls to tell you that what you did was wrong," Dixon says. "You were supposed to be a leader in the locker room, but you're a bully," adds Uriah Connors. Josh confronts them, at which point Andre Chase intervenes to calm things down. Briggs accuses him of not guiding his students correctly, just like Je'Von Evans hasn't been properly guided by The Undertaker. However, he's a legend, unlike Chase. Dixon faces off with Briggs. "Enough! Mr. Chase is going to teach you some respect tonight!," he exclaims. Uriah adds that they will go talk to Ava to schedule this match. Connors and Dixon leave the scene. Josh smiles. Meanwhile, Andre remains silent, trying to understand how this situation has come about.

We see Ava meeting with several women's teams (ZaRuca, Fatal Influence, and The Culling) in her office. The General Manager wants to inform them that, after a conversation with Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce, they have agreed to grant an opportunity for the Women's WWE Tag Team Championships to one of the NXT teams. The announcement leads to an inevitable discussion among all present. Ava was aware this would happen, so she already has something planned: next week, they will all face off in an elimination tag team match. The winning team will receive the coveted title opportunity. They all seem to agree with the General Manager's decision and proceed to leave the office.

We see a promotional video starring DarkState. The four members of the faction recall their past and how their paths converged to form the team. Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James claim they have more talent than anyone, so they decided to skip the line to earn the respect they deserve. Now, with the Tag Team Championships in their possession, they can prove it. This is a new era. One led by DarkState. And when DarkState attacks, no one is safe.

Trick Williams enters the ring. The TNA World Champion recalls that last week he promoted the upcoming NXT shows in a video where he described himself as the greatest NXT superstar in history. What's curious is that none of the great talents from NXT's past said anything about it. Either they agree with Trick's statement, or NXT no longer matters to them. Williams understands them because once he's sent to SmackDown or Raw and starts making real money, he'll never return to NXT. Trick points out that WWE superstars travel the world and do what they want. That's why NXT no longer matters to them.

#DIY appear on the scene

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano make their entrance. The fans welcome them with chants of "Welcome Back!" Johnny makes it clear that yes, they do love NXT. In fact, today marks the 10th anniversary of their debut in the brand, which is why they wanted to be here tonight. With that said, they go on to address Williams' comments, who calls himself "the greatest NXT Superstar of all time." To do so, they go over his accomplishments. He's won the NXT Championship twice... just like Ciampa. He's also held the NXT North American Championship... which Gargano won three times. Trick is the TNA Champion... something they can't claim, although they did win the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Despite everything, Johnny doesn't want to say that Williams is the greatest NXT Superstar of all time because many great talents have come through the brand. And they all had one thing in common: their passion and love for NXT. And among all of them, there are two in particular who led one of the most beloved eras of all: the Black & Gold era (Tommaso removes Williams' sunglasses and throws them to ringside). Two people who paved the way for the talent that came after them, including Trick Williams. A team that everyone here knows very well: D-I-Y.

Williams warns Tommaso not to touch him again. Trick doesn’t want to disrespect one of the greatest teams NXT has ever had. Williams acknowledges that they did leave a mark. They were great—until he came along to kick down all their accomplishments and become the greatest NXT Superstar of all time. “Let’s talk about that,” Trick says. Tommaso doesn’t want to talk, so he shoves Williams. Trick removes the championship from his waist and places it on the mat, preparing to attack Ciampa. Tommaso dodges, leaving Trick wide open for a superkick from Johnny. #DIY hit the Meet in the Middle on the TNA World Champion. Tommaso places the title over a knocked-out Trick before celebrating with Johnny and the fans.

Je'Von Evans is being treated in the medical room. Ava shows up to offer him a deal. If he doesn’t interfere in Josh Briggs’ match tonight, he’ll get a one-on-one match against him next week. Je'Von agrees. Despite this, Ava orders several security members to escort him out. “You gave me your word,” the General Manager reminds him as he’s being escorted.

We see a promotional video featuring Kali Armstrong.

We move to Ava’s office, where she witnesses an argument between Ethan Page and Tavion Heights. Tavion returns the Canadian flag that “All Ego” “forgot” last week. Ethan claims he didn’t forget it. It was a gift—so Tavion could be close to a flag that represents true patriotism. Heights tries to respond, but Ava tells him to calm down. Page asks the General Manager to let him continue acting like a rude American. Ethan accuses him of disrespecting a nation of 40 million people. Heights says he has no issue with all Canadians, just one—the same one who has disrespected the NXT North American Championship by defacing it with his customization. Ava insists both men calm down before announcing what’s next. However, Page has an idea: a flag match. Ava says she hadn’t planned on that… but since she doesn’t like the idea, she’s making it official. So, next week, the two will face off in a Flag Match. “You will acknowledge the American flag,” Heights says to Page before walking away.

Kali Armstrong vs. Jordynne Grace

Kali charges at Jordynne. Grace dodges and throws the WWE Evolve Champion into the opposite corner. Armstrong recovers and hits a bodydrop. Kali delivers several corner spears in one of the corners. Grace escapes Armstrong’s pressure and counters. "The Juggernaut" traps Kali in an Accolade. Armstrong lifts her opponent onto her back and rams into one of the corners until she finally breaks free.

Kali regains control of the match. Armstrong throws Jordynne into a corner. Kali kicks her opponent in the stomach. Grace climbs to the top rope. Armstrong follows her. They exchange strikes on the second rope. Grace lands two headbutts and goes for a sunset flip, but the WWE Evolve Champion blocks it. Kali knocks her opponent down with a right hand.

Armstrong unleashes a flurry of punches to Grace’s back. Both women block each other’s suplex attempts. Kali drops Jordynne on the top rope and continues the attack. Armstrong hits a backbreaker on her opponent. Grace recovers and takes down the WWE Evolve Champion with three consecutive clotheslines. 1...2...NO. Kali blocks the Juggernaut Driver and responds with a scoop powerslam. 1...2...NO. Grace stops the Kali Connection with a back elbow and finishes her off with a Juggernaut Driver. 1...2...3.

Winner: Jordynne Grace

Blake Monroe storms in and brawls with Jordynne Grace at ringside. Several officials rush in to break them apart. The British wrestler remains on her knees, bleeding from the mouth. That’s how this segment ends.

Lola Vice stars in a promotional video. The NXT Women’s Championship contender recalls her childhood in Little Havana, Miami, where she was raised with her family. Lola proudly embraces her Cuban heritage and culture. She remembers leaving home at 18 to pursue a career in MMA. Now, nine years later (time she spent chasing her dreams), she returns to reconnect with friends and family. Lola’s mother says her daughter is a role model, not just to her, but to many girls, including her sister. "You’ve met my mom. Wait until you meet my dad, because there’s a reason he pushed me so hard," says Lola, teasing part two of the video coming soon.

Andre Chase (with Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon) vs. Josh Briggs

Briggs charges at Chase and takes him down easily. Josh keeps attacking Andre, who responds with headscissors. Briggs ends up at ringside. Andre gets on the apron and kicks his opponent. He then dives onto Josh, but Briggs catches him mid-air. Briggs throws his opponent into one of the ring posts. Josh punches Andre before dragging him back into the ring.

Briggs throws Andre into a corner. Josh hits an elbowdrop on Chase and continues the assault. Chase dodges a punch, causing Josh to hit the mat instead. Still, Briggs maintains control. Andre surprises Josh with an enziguri, then unleashes a flurry of punches to Briggs’ head in the corner.

Josh drops Andre with a side suplex and locks in a headlock. Chase escapes, only to be hit again by a barrage of punches. Chase stuns Josh with a DDT. 1...2...NO. Briggs blocks a neckbreaker and counters with a slam, followed by a standing splash. 1...2...NO. "Chase, you can stay! Briggs, get outta here!" the fans chant relentlessly.

Josh drops Andre with another slam. Chase counters a suplex into a Stunner before launching himself with a diving crossbody. One... two... thre—NO. “That was three!” chant the fans. Andre repeatedly kicks Briggs. Furious, Josh blocks one of the kicks and answers with a chokeslam. Then, he finishes his opponent with a big boot. 1...2...3.

Winner: Josh Briggs

Briggs quickly heads to ringside and attacks Kale, throwing him into the barricade. Uriah rushes in to help his partner, but Josh grabs him and hits a chokeslam through the commentary table, which collapses. Briggs stands tall as he looks over his three victims.

Trick Williams is interviewed before leaving the venue. "DIY. You think I’m letting this slide? You’re not the only ones with history. I’ll see you next week," he says before walking away.

Tag Team Match
Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Cutler James & Saquon Shugars)

Saquon and Tank start the match. Shugars corners his opponent. Dion gets the tag and lands a huge flying clothesline on Tank. 1...2...NO. Cutler tags in. Ledger recovers, escapes James, and tags in Hank. He and Ledger work perfectly together against Cutler. Ricky tags in. Saints hits the Old School on James as he tags in Oba.

Femi grabs James' left arm and begins to punish it. Oba extends his hand toward Ricky. Saints prepares to tag in, but the Nigerian pulls his hand away and strikes a pose in true “The Absolute” style. He can’t help but crack a smile. "Oba, Oba," the fans chant. Femi, Ledger, Walker, and Saints take out all their opponents—except Cutler, who is crushed in the center of the ring. DarkState regroups at ringside.

Cutler returns and strikes Femi with a brutal uppercut. Dion tags in and unloads a flurry of punches on "The Ruler." Femi gets rid of Lennox with a big boot. Hank tags in and charges Dion. Tank follows up with a similar move. Oba’s turn, but he decides not to join in. Femi takes down Lennox with a shoulder tackle.

Femi hits a backbreaker, keeping his opponent on his knee. Ricky prepares to leap onto Dion, who’s still down, but Oba stops him at the last second, preventing Saints from executing his move. Femi delivers a second backbreaker to Lennox and returns to his corner. Ricky enters to pin Dion. 1...2...NO.

Hank gets the tag, only to be ambushed by all of DarkState. James punishes Walker on the ropes. A series of combo attacks ends with Griffin hitting a running powerslam on Hank. 1...2...NO. Osiris hits a headbutt and throws Hank into a corner. Griffin continues the assault with help from the ropes. Osiris strikes again in the corner. Griffin whips Hank once more into the turnbuckle—but this time, Ledger cushions the blow with his back. Hank rebounds straight into Osiris with a clothesline.

Tank tags in. Ledger hits every opponent. Tank performs an Electric Chair on Dion, followed by a springboard shoulder tackle. Ricky tags in. Meanwhile, Ledger dives onto Osiris and Cutler with a suicide dive. Saints takes down Lennox with a tornado DDT. Dion stumbles into his corner where Shugars tags in.

Ricky floors Saquon with a clothesline and hits the ropes for momentum, but Oba tags himself in by slapping Saints on the back of the neck. "What are you doing?!" yells Saints. Oba orders him back to the corner. Saquon takes advantage and attacks Ricky from behind. Saints retaliates by hitting Femi. Ricky dodges Saquon’s next strike and pushes him into Oba. Femi grabs him and tosses him into Saints. Fed up, "The Absolute" attacks "The Ruler," starting a brawl that spills backstage.

Meanwhile, Hank and Tank crush Saquon in the middle of the ring. The former tag champs go for their combo finisher, but Cutler grabs Tank’s legs and smashes him into the post while Dion and Osiris distract the referee. Shugars escapes Walker by poking him in the eyes. DarkState prepare for their assisted powerbomb, but Ledger pulls Osiris out of the ring and throws him into the steel steps. Cutler sets up for a chokeslam on Hank. "No one’s saving you now!" yells James. "Joe Hendry!" shouts Walker.

Say his name, and he's appear!

Joe Hendry appears on the apron. Cutler tries to attack him, but the Scotsman easily avoids it by dropping to ringside. Hank and Tank capitalize and hit James with their combo finisher. 1...2...3.

Winners: Oba Femi, Ricky Saints, Hank Walker & Tank Ledger

Hank, Tank, and Joe celebrate in the ring with the fans. Meanwhile, backstage, multiple security members try to break up the fight between Saints and Femi. That’s how this week’s episode of NXT ends.
