In the last few hours, AEW has surprised its fans a lot, especially those who have been following the company's product since the beginning. All Elite has confirmed the date and location for the recording of their special weekly shows for Thanksgiving Day. Since 2019, with the only exception of 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the city of Chicago had hosted this event that fans hold so dear.
However, this year the lucky city will be Nashville. Specifically, it will be The Pinnacle venue that will host both Dynamite and Collision shows. It was inaugurated last February, and has a capacity for about 4,500 people, which is in line with the trend AEW has been following with their weekly shows in recent months: packed venues, with slightly less capacity, but with a completely devoted audience.
The details of the Collision recording have not been revealed, although it is most likely to take place immediately after Dynamite. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, September 8.
The show will be the weekly program following Full Gear, which will take place in New Jersey on Saturday the 22nd, so it is likely to be very important in terms of advancing storylines and important matches in the programming.
With this new venue, AEW is moving away from the Chicago territory, a city that, while often responded well in terms of reactions and ticket sales, had also caused a lot of frustration among fans. Many remember, for example, the memorable promo battle in 2021 between CM Punk and MJF, but they had been calling for a change of scenery and a greater expansion of shows within the country.
