In a recent interview for Escapist Magazine, Ric Flair acknowledged that Triple H is doing a "fabulous" job as the creative head of WWE and highlighted how difficult it is to maintain the level with so much talent coming out of NXT. For Flair, the key is to make the most of every minute on live television: if you don't capture the audience in your first appearance, there probably won't be a second chance.

"Triple H is doing a fabulous job," Flair assured. "I think the hardest thing for Triple H right now is trying to justify the fortune they spent on NXT, because they have so many people coming from there. And here's the thing: when you're on live television, you have only one chance. You better do something that catches someone's attention or you won't be there the following week. They have to have something. Even if it's just one thing. Unless they have some great plan, an elaborate scheme, the video and all that. But if you do all those videos and then come out in front of a live audience after so many weeks of videos, you better be very good. Because if you're not...".

The WWE Hall of Famer was also asked about the possibility of Chris Jericho returning to WWE. Flair stated that the Canadian 'has meant a lot to this business' and will undoubtedly end up in the Hall of Fame, but he was cautious in analyzing his chances of returning to the company. In his opinion, it would be difficult for Jericho to receive a treatment similar to John Cena's, as Cena's popularity reached a level comparable to The Rock's. Still, Flair does not rule out that it could happen, although he sees it as unlikely.

Chris (Jericho) has meant a lot to this business. I'm sure he'll go to the Hall of Fame. But I highly doubt he'll get the kind of deal John Cena got. I could be wrong. I'd love it. But John had a level of popularity very similar to The Rock. It was huge. Everyone loved him. It might be a bit forced to see him back there, but you never know.

In a more relaxed tone, Ric Flair also recalled his favorite Hulk Hogan movie. He joked about the film where Hogan played Santa Claus, stating that it was 'horrible'. Flair explained that at one point he tried his luck in the movies, but found out that he wasn't cut out for that life: waking up at six in the morning, training, spending the day shooting scenes and retakes until night, and repeating the routine the next day. "It wasn't for me," he admitted with a laugh.
