In their first title defense, the newly crowned World Tag Team Champions, Bandido and Brody King, successfully defended their titles in the recent edition of AEW Dynamite by defeating The Death Riders members, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta.

The match started with a clash of styles, with Bandido's speed and Brody King's strength against Castagnoli's technical experience and Yuta's agility. Both teams maintained a frenetic pace, with the champions momentarily controlling the action before their opponents managed to isolate Bandido.

The match turned chaotic when Marina Shafir appeared to intervene. Her distraction allowed Jon Moxley to get involved and attack Brody King at ringside, giving the challengers a clear numerical advantage. The Death Riders punished Bandido and executed a Fastball Special that almost secured them the victory, but King returned to the ring at the last second to save the match.

Just as Moxley was about to strike again, Darby Allin appeared out of nowhere to stop his rival, balancing the odds for the champions. With the threat neutralized, Brody King unleashed an assault on his opponents. Finally, Bandido managed to hit his 21 Plex on Wheeler Yuta to secure the three count and give Brodido their first successful title defense.
