Ronda Rousey ended her contracto with WWE in 2023 and since then, she has not always spoken very highly of her experience in the company. In her recent appearance on the The Lapsed Fan podcast, the former UFC and WWE champion stated that Vince McMahon never dared to say anything directly to her face, describing him as someone who preferred to act indirectly and with "tricks" rather than being honest.

"No, I just didn't pay attention to him. He was too scared to say something to my face," Ronda Rousey asserted. "If he had, I knew I would have responded immediately. So, he dealt with sneaky little tricks."

"With Dana White, I was used to someone direct, who would tell you things straight up. Vince, on the other hand, would say whatever to get you out of the room and then pull some stunt behind your back, and I would think, 'what the hell?'. I can't work with someone who isn't clear and honest."

About her place in the history of women's wrestling

Rousey also discussed whether she will be remembered in the history of the women's revolution in WWE and the women's arrival in the main events. Her response was clear: she doesn't care if her name is part of that narrative or not, because what matters is that women will continue to be in the spotlight.

"I don't know if in 10 years they will talk about me in that story, but I don't care, because women will continue to be main eventers. I realized that I do many brave and badass things behind the scenes that no one knows about, and that's okay. I don't do them for people to applaud me, but because it excites me to do it in the moment. It's part of my own legend."

The former WWE champion explained that many of her contributions will never be public, but still have helped pave the way for future generations. Even if not everyone recognizes her role, she is convinced that everyone will benefit from what she helped push forward in the women's division.
