The relationship between music and professional wrestling has provided great moments since the creation of WWE, although in recent years it is something that has been maximized with figures like Bad Bunny and Jelly Roll. Now, another world-class name could join that list: rapper Post Malone.
In an interview with GQ, Malone revealed that he is interested in competing in a match at WrestleMania 42 and directly pointed to Seth Rollins as his ideal opponent. "I think Seth Rollins and I have unfinished business, you can put it in writing. Me against Seth Rollins. WrestleMania 2026. I've always wanted to do that. If I had a different physique and a different career, I would have loved to be a WWE wrestler," confessed the artist, nominated for multiple Grammy awards.
American singer attended Clash in Paris last month, where he coincided with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch after Rollins' victory in the main event against CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso. The interaction between the superstars and the rapper sparked the flame for this possible dream match, which has now gained strength with his public statements.
Post Malone's presence in Paris occurred while he was on tour with Jelly Roll, and his appearance on the show generated a great stir among fans, who have already begun to speculate on how his irreverent style would fit into the WWE universe. With precedents of artists who have been able to adapt to the ring, the possibility of seeing Malone at WrestleMania does not seem so far-fetched.
At the moment, WWE has not made any official comment on this challenge, but the rapper's interest and Rollins' willingness to participate in big spectacles make this match a scenario that many fans are already dreaming of seeing next year.
As we indicated on our YouTube channel a few weeks ago, WWE would already be planning the main matches for WrestleMania 42, which would be related to the main event.
There is talk of a match between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, who would emerge from The Vision group after, hypothetically, earning a title shot for the grand event. However, depending on how things go, that rivalry could develop later on. There is also talk of the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, who would arrive at the grand event as the champion.
