In a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Ronda Rousey talked about two important topics: the future of her career and the remarkable growth of her friend Marina Shafir in AEW, an achievement she directly attributes to the support of Jon Moxley. The former UFC and WWE star praised Jon Moxley's work as a mentor to Marina Shafir, highlighting his key role in the wrestler's development over the past year.
Shafir has been involved in significant storylines in AEW, including her alignment with The Death Riders. Rousey expressed her admiration for her partner's evolution. "She's feeling comfortable in that space, with a lot of confidence, and she's becoming a true professional. Going from asking 'How do I do an arm drag?' to being part of five-star matches, it's great to see her enjoying herself so much and rising to the top level of the industry," Rousey stated.
Furthermore, the wrestler described Moxley as "the most incredible human being of all time," praising his humility and passion. "His success is largely due to his talent, but not only that, but also his willingness to give back and to make his growth elevate everyone around him. I am very grateful for the kind of friend he has been to Marina," she added.
The interview also addressed the topic of a possible return of Ronda Rousey to WWE. The "baddest woman on the planet" confirmed that the company has left the "door open" for a future return. However, she clarified that she does not see herself returning to the company due to her current lifestyle. "I just don't think I can go back on the road with the company. I have two daughters now and hope to have more soon. There's no room in my life to maintain that lifestyle and a family at the same time," she concluded.
