Dakota Kai has acknowledged that she misses wrestling, although in recent months she has also enjoyed taking a break after her departure from WWE. The New Zealander was released from the company in May and, despite having completed her 90-day clause, she has not yet announced her first dates on the independent circuit.
During a broadcast on her Twitch channel, Kai updated her situation. "I miss wrestling, guys. I will be back," she assured. "It's been good to take a break, I had been going non-stop for a long time, even before my seven years in WWE. It's good to take a step back... but I really miss it."
The former champion also apologized to her followers for being less active on social media, explaining that she plans to be more consistent with her broadcasts on Twitch.
I'm sorry for being disconnected from social media. I'm pretty bad at it, but I also think it's healthy to step back a bit. A few months away is a long time, but I'm feeling very good.
Kai also talked about her partner, Karl Fredericks, known in NXT as Eddy Thorpe, who was released in the same round of cuts and has just returned to the independent circuit. "He's doing very well," she proudly stated.
