Jerry "The King" Lawler is facing health issues once again. The WWE Hall of Famer was scheduled to appear at the HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati starting this Friday. However, the event organizers canceled his appearance citing "personal matters".

This afternoon, TMZ Sports revealed the reason behind this cancellation: Lawler has suffered a new stroke, as confirmed by the legend's ex-fiancée to the media. Lawler suffered the stroke last Friday at one of his homes in Florida. Fortunately, the WWE Hall of Famer has already been discharged and his daughter will take him back to his main residence, where he will rest for a few weeks before returning to normalcy.

This is Lawler's third stroke following the episodes in 2018 and 2023. This latest one was particularly severe: a "massive stroke" that led him directly to the ICU for several days. In fact, the legend continues to deal with the aftermath, especially memory loss.

At 75 years old, and despite his health problems, Lawler remains as active as possible in the business, especially making appearances at conventions and sporadically participating in WWE television programming when the company holds a show in Tennessee, his home state.

His last televised appearance took place on the November 28, 2023 episode of NXT, where he joined other legends to select participants for the qualifying matches for the Iron Survivor Challenges in the second edition of NXT Deadline.
