Maria Kanellis-Bennett has publicly revealed that she has been diagnosed with skin cancer. The wrestler shared on social media that she underwent surgery to remove an early-stage carcinoma, thanking for having detected it in time.

"Check your moles. Today I had a skin cancer removed at stage 0 after a previous biopsy came back positive. I feel very lucky that they found it so early, although exhausted. I will have a scar about eight centimeters long on my leg. It has been an interesting few years. Before the surgery, they marked it with an eye, apparently to ward off evil spirits," wrote the former WWE and AEW star.

Kanellis-Bennett, 43, had already dealt with other medical issues recently. In 2023, she underwent surgery to remove part of her thyroid gland, and in 2024, she had a benign tumor removed from her adrenal gland.

On January 31, she also confirmed that her contract with AEW had expired, while her husband, Mike Bennett, remains linked to the company.

In addition to these health and professional challenges, Maria announced in June that she is expecting her third child with Mike Bennett. The couple already has two children: Freddie, born in 2018, and Carver, in 2020. The news has been received with joy by their followers, who have shown great support on social media.

Maria Kanellis had a prominent presence in WWE during the mid-2000s, initially as an interviewer and later as a competitor. She was part of the expanding women's division and gained notoriety in television rivalries, as well as participating in WrestleMania 24. After an initial departure in 2010, she returned in 2017 alongside Mike Bennett under the name Mike Kanellis, where they both worked in television segments until they were released from their contracts in 2020, amid the company's restructuring.
