Andrade is no longer part of WWE. The Mexican wrestler had suddenly disappeared from the company's television programming a few weeks ago without any apparent reason, which led many to wonder what was happening with him. Today, several media outlets have been able to confirm that "El Ídolo" has ended his second stint in the company by his own decision.

One of the media outlets that has confirmed this information is Fightful, who in their most recent report reiterated that it was not a dismissal, but a resignation. "We were told that this would not be a case where his contract simply expired, as he had over 18 months remaining on his agreement when he signed last year," the media wrote.

"Fightful was informed in August that Andrade was not on the company's internal injured list. When we asked why he had not been scheduled for a certain match, we were told: 'if it were possible, he would be'. We were informed that his departure was already in progress, but for now, the circumstances surrounding it are not known. He has also not been backstage at SmackDown recently," Fightful wrote.

"Mark (@WrestleMobs) from Bodyslam.net alerted us by pointing out that he had been moved to the alumni section, and that he may have ended his time in the company," the report continued. "A WWE source indicated that his departure had been brewing for at least a week, and that this affected immediate creative plans after SummerSlam, which was his last appearance. Several talents we spoke to had no idea what was going on or that Andrade had left or was going to leave the company."

Andrade and AEW

"Andrade left AEW in December 2023 on less than ideal terms. AEW wanted to retain Andrade and offered him a long-term contract extension that they believed he had accepted. However, shortly before his last match against Miro, AEW sources indicated that he informed them he would not sign the extension, affecting their creative plans for the future. The AEW sources we spoke to did not know that Andrade had left WWE. We were told that 'no bridge is completely burned in AEW', and that as long as there is nothing atrocious related to a departure, a return would not be impossible. Despite that situation, Tony Khan praised Andrade a lot in the post-AEW Worlds End press conference and said they had parted on good terms," the report concluded.

Andrade's second stint in WWE

Andrade returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2024 to begin his second stint with the company. After a less than satisfying run in AEW, the Mexican hoped to have better luck in the Endeavor-owned company, where his then-wife, Charlotte Flair, was also a member. However, this second stint also would not have met his expectations.

Despite being a regular presence on WWE's television programming, Andrade barely had any title opportunities, aside from his WWE Speed Championship win. Before his departure, the company paired him with Rey Fenix. Both showed great chemistry, positioning themselves as one of the highest-quality tag teams on SmackDown.

Andrade and Rey Fenix competed in the TLC match for the WWE Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam, which would ultimately be "El Ídolo's" last appearance on a company show. Many fans wondered about his subsequent absence on television and WWE's European tour, especially when the company stopped mentioning him. Finally, today we have learned the reason for it. It is expected that in the coming days we will have more information on this matter.
