The absence of Claudio Castagnoli a few months ago at the AEW Grand Slam Mexico show unleashed a wave of speculation among fans. With no official explanation, many wondered if the wrestler was injured, if he had been removed from the lineup due to some issue or if his contract with the company was about to expire.

The confusion increased because Claudio's debut in AEW happened almost three years ago, leading people to assume that his agreement could have come to an end. However, that is not the case. Internal sources from the company have confirmed to Fightful Select that Claudio Castagnoli remains under contract and still has a considerable amount of time left on his current agreement.

Internally, there is no concern about his departure. In fact, the source revealed that Tony Khan is fully committed to keeping Claudio long-term, seeing him as a key asset for the company's future. With this, it is confirmed that the future of the "Swiss Superman" in AEW is secure and that his recent absence was not due to contractual disputes.

Claudio Castagnoli debuted in All Elite Wrestling in 2022, where he has had a prominent run in the company. During this time, the Swiss wrestler became the ROH World Champion on two occasions. Later, by joining the Death Riders, he managed to win the AEW Trios World Championships alongside Wheeler Yuta and PAC.
