Tiffany Stratton is not medically cleared to compete in NXT Homecoming, the show that will take place tonight at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. The news was confirmed by general manager Ava on social media, shortly before the airing of Raw on Monday.
"Following her WWE Women's Championship match on SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton is not cleared to compete in Homecoming. Instead, former NXT champion Lyra Valkyria will take her place in the trios match against Fatal Influence," Ava wrote.
Stratton had defended her title against Jade Cargill in a match that ended in a double count-out after both crashed through a barricade. After the match, Nia Jax appeared to brutally attack her and finish her off with the Annihilator, leaving Stratton out of action.
Last week, NXT closed its program with a surprise appearance by Stratton, Vaquer, and Rhea Ripley, who interrupted Jacy Jayne and Fatal Influence. The show ended with the former champions asserting dominance over the new generation of female wrestlers, foreshadowing the big clash that will now have to take place without Stratton.
