Paul Heyman has not appeared on television since Roman Reigns left him unconscious at WWE Clash in Paris. With Wrestlepalooza just around the corner, the veteran manager has broken his silence and talked about the possibility of returning this Saturday during the highly anticipated event.
During his appearance on ESPN First Take, Heyman revealed that Reigns' brutal hold caused him to rupture several blood vessels in his eye, an injury whose extent is still unknown. "Roman Reigns choked me so hard that he burst all these blood vessels in my eye. I don't know if it's permanent damage or not," he explained, showing the physical aftermath of that attack.
When asked if he felt comfortable returning to ringside this Saturday alongside Seth Rollins, Heyman played coy, maintaining the mystery surrounding his appearance. "I'm always comfortable at ringside with Seth Freakin' Rollins. Maybe the strategy requires me to be elsewhere at that moment. Maybe the strategy requires me to be at ringside at that moment," he commented with his usual enigmatic tone.
The mystery adds even more anticipation to the mixed tag team match where Rollins and Becky Lynch will face off against CM Punk and AJ Lee at Wrestlepalooza. Heyman's return, whether as strategic support or as a surprise element, could be a decisive factor in one of the most high-profile matches of the event.
WWE Wrestlepalooza will take place on September 20th at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, a venue with a capacity of nearly 20,000 spectators. Fans can watch the show on ESPN in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
