Brock Lesnar reappeared at WWE SummerSlam and has already confirmed his next big match: a showdown against John Cena at Wrestlepalooza, one of the most anticipated clashes in recent years. The news has generated great excitement, although it also raised doubts about the influence of ESPN in the decision to include the former champion.

During a media call between WWE and ESPN, the network was questioned by journalist Jon Alba about Lesnar's participation in an event of this magnitude, considering that his name appears in active lawsuits against WWE and Vince McMahon. ESPN made it clear that the decision belongs exclusively to WWE.

WWE has total creative control over who appears on the shows. We do not request specific wrestlers, that responsibility lies with the company.

The name of Brock Lesnar appeared in the federal lawsuit that Janel Grant filed against Vince McMahon and WWE. In a modified version of the case, Grant alleges that McMahon tried to involve Lesnar in his abuses during contract negotiations in 2021. According to the complaint, McMahon asked her to create personalized sexual content for "The Beast Incarnate" and even allegedly tried to arrange a meeting between them, which ultimately did not happen.

It is important to note that Lesnar is not listed as a defendant in the case, as the legal action is directed specifically against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The mention of Lesnar arises in the context of the accusations against McMahon, who allegedly used Grant as part of a pattern of exploitation. Both McMahon and WWE have denied the allegations, which have not yet been proven in court.
