Becky Lynch is the greatest superstar of all time. And she's not the one saying it. It's Sports Illustrated... and now also Bleacher Report. The well-known digital publication has chosen "The Man" as the most important woman in history in a list of the top 25 WWE superstars of all time, which you can see below.
"Despite being a high-caliber star, with appearances in mainstream media and on the New York Times bestseller list, she has also proven to be selfless, using her status to help elevate others, like Belair and, more recently, Lyra Valkyria," the outlet wrote.
"Now embroiled in a rivalry with the return of AJ Lee, and enjoying her first sustained on-screen partnership with her husband Seth Rollins at the top of the Raw brand, there are no signs that Lynch is ready to, or will, relinquish her place at the top of this list," BR added.
Noteworthy is Charlotte Flair's commendable second place, one of the most decorated female wrestlers in the professional wrestling business. Bayley and Sasha Banks (Mercedes Moné in AEW) appear in fifth and sixth place, leaving WWE's Four Horsewomen in the top 6 of this list.
Trish Stratus completes the podium with a prominent third place. Alongside her, the list also includes other legends such as Lita, Michelle McCool, Chyna, Alundra Blayze, Jacqueline, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, and Bull Nakano. Equally noteworthy is Ronda Rousey's presence in eleventh place for her contribution to wrestling during the women's revolution. The former UFC champion helped bring greater visibility to a roster experiencing a surge in popularity.
Speaking of this revolution, two of its trailblazers, Paige and AJ Lee, also have their place on this list, at positions 12 and 18 respectively, as do The Bella Twins, who played a similar role to Rousey, taking wrestling beyond the ring ropes, attracting a larger fan base.
Of course, there will be those who disagree with this list, its order, or the talents chosen. What is a fact, however, is that Becky Lynch has been - and continues to be - one of the most influential and popular female faces in WWE history. And it's not just Sports Illustrated saying it.
